Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is a not-for-profit, secular community based organisation committed to enhancing the lives of communities, families and individuals, by being a leading provider of quality relationship support services.

The FRC is an Australian Government initiative and assists families with relationship difficulties through providing information, support and referral to a range of services. The Centre also helps families to achieve workable parenting arrangements outside the court system through provision of family dispute resolution.

Partnering with Windermere, the Berwick FRC is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the position of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP).

The FDRP provides family dispute resolution services to separating parents and aims to resolve family disputes to avoid court proceedings if possible. The role includes assessment and screening for risks and involves working with high conflict families.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A degree in Social Sciences (Psychology, social work) or Law or related field
  • Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution
  • Accreditation as a FDRP under the Accreditation Rules as set out in Regulations 5 and 6 Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2008
  • Listed on the Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners maintained by the Attorney- General’s Department or able to be so registered.

*One evening session a week will be required of the successful applicant.
