Drought Counselling

While Relationships Australia (Victoria) is not able to assist people with financial and farming issues, we have experience and expertise in matters relating to families, children, stress, family violence, decision making, problem solving, communication, marital problems and other personal issues. We offer information that can assist rural people to deal with some of the challenges that they are facing at what continues to be a difficult time.

RAV provides a FREE counselling service to people who have been affected in some way by drought. Counselling sessions are available at:

You need to make an appointment to use either of these services, however there is unlikely to be a long wait for a suitable appointment time.

If you wish to access either face-to-face counselling or telephone counselling, simply explain to the receptionist that you have been affected by the drought and wish to use the free service. You will not be required to give a detailed explanation.
