A Healthy Family
- Do fun things together. Each family member should take a turn at choosing an activity.
- Celebrate as a family each individual’s achievements.
- Turn off the TV when you have dinner, and talk about the day’s events.
- Have family rituals that everyone can attend, for example, Sunday breakfast, walking the dog.
- Tell stories about individuals, family events and important moments.
- Find ways of comforting that work for each individual.
- Do things with other families.
- Share the household responsibility, and give children jobs so they can contribute.
- Be adaptive.
- Say “I love you” every day.
